Valentine's day card

I cut up a card from my mother-in-law.

Card

It wasn’t anything against her – she writes the sweetest little notes. I just happened to see it when I was thinking about cards for the Love Letters project, and I decided the balloons on the front were just the right colors to be upcycled into Valentine’s hearts.

So the card got cut up to make more cards. I’m pretty sure my mother-in-law would approve.

Have you found any interesting things to repurpose lately?

  1. Pretty. I love it when things can be repurposed. Yes — I had to make a mask for Chickie and I made it out of donated felt and old hairbands. Everyone loved her mask and while it cost me an hour of time, it didn’t cost me a cent.

    1. Very cool! Smart idea to use the hairbands. And, really, you could have spent an hour shopping for the right mask, so I think you came out ahead! :)

  2. What a cool idea! The only repurposing thing we’ve done around here lately (and it was the eldest’s idea) has been to take the wax out of our large glass candles (after they’ve burned down to almost nothing), and clean them out. The eldest is using them as holders for makeup brushes, lip glosses, etc.
